Dr. (Mrs.) Renee  Sitsofe Morhe

Our Department of Private Law is concerned with that branch of the civil law that protects and regulates relations between private individuals or institutions. Courses under our department include the Law of Torts, Law of Immovable Property, Equity and Succession, Conflict of Laws and the Law of Evidence. Most of these are core subjects of the LL.B programme necessary for admission to the Ghana School of Law.

The department is home to a vibrant group of lecturers who continue to test constitutionality and practicality of domestic laws in the area with the aim of reforming the law for the betterment of society. Our students in the department; comprising LL.B, LL.M and PhD; have the opportunity to interact freely with lecturers who provide guidance on the nuances and constant developing nature of the discipline.
